Cyril the Squirrel awakes one morning to find his precious hoard of NUTS missing!!

With his anxiety riding high he dashes through the woods in a desperate effort to find them, believing them to have been stolen. During his frantic search he stumbles across a number of other animals and confronts them with his suspicions. Alas, they know nothing of the missing nuts and are unable to comfort poor Cyril. His hunt continues to no avail and it looks like being a miserable end to his day. Will those around him be able to help?

THE CREATORS

My name is Stuart Lloyd Gould and I've been printing and reading comic books, graphic novels and children's books and for over 25 years. Having read so many stories it was only a matter of time before I plucked up the courage to pen a tale of my own. Roald Dahl and Julia Donaldson are obvious influences on my style and I love poetic language. I was lucky enough to read to both my young daughters for many years and this allowed me to soak up these influences. Coupling this with a lifelong passion of rhyming verse the story unfolded. Knowing many artists was a bonus of course, and I was spoilt for choice when it came to choosing one to bring my script to life. I knew Marissa Peguinho from her work on the Butterfly Books series which I have had the pleasure of printing. Marissa was excited to be involved and almost immediately made a start on character development and a front cover.
